At Lebanon, Tristan Kochel threw a complete-game shutout and went 1-for-4 with an RBI to lead the seventh-seeded Mustangs to an upset win over the second-seeded Falcons in a 6A quarterfinal. Gov. Mifflin led 1-0 through four innings before breaking it open with five runs in the fifth. One run scored on a pop-up after a Cedar Crest fielder went out of play with the ball after making the catch. The Mustangs (14-10) then went on a two-out scoring spree as Isiah Livingston scored on a wild pitch, Joe Adametz ripped a two-run single and Kochel drove in another run with a single. Mifflin added three more in the seventh when Trevor Woolwine, Isaac Ruoss and Justin DelVecchio combined to hit three consecutive doubles before Adametz capped the inning with an RBI single. DelVecchio finished 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs and Adametz 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Joseph Carpenter went 3-for-3 with a double to lead Cedar Crest (16-7). Gov. Mifflin advances to face No. 3 Cumberland Valley Tuesday in the semifinal round.
