Highlights: HERSHEY – Lonnie Walker IV scored a game-high 25 points, including 11 in the final quarter, as Reading High held off Central York 65-54 for the District 3-AAAA championship today at Giant Center.

The top-seeded Panthers (23-4) pulled within two points late in third quarter before Walker went off, hitting a 3-pointer just before the buzzer and scoring nine points in 25 seconds to push the lead back to 11.

The championship was a record 20th for Reading High and the first since 2010.

Khary Mauras had 17 points and Oenis Medina had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the second-seeded Red Knights (25-3).

Nathan Markey led the Panthers with 19 points; Jared Wagner was held to 11, about 10 below his average.

The win was the 20th in a row for the Red Knights, who open PIAA play next Saturday against Hatboro-Horsham.
